Our Response to COVID-19

Our Response to COVID-19

Updated August 14, 2020

Please know that the elders, many of whom are personally affected by this decision, are not asking you to stay home for the sake of the Beltline church; they are asking you to stay home for the sake of your own safety. Please wait until your risk decreases before you return. Please let us love you by keeping you safe during this pandemic.

We had a great RETURN to in-person service last Sunday and are looking forward to continuing that moving forward. It was so good to see a few familiar faces in our auditorium!!!  Every two weeks, the Elders are reevaluating our current situation to see when and if we can loosen some of the restrictions that have been put in place.  We are doing our best to follow the guidelines laid out by the CDC and the state during this time of the pandemic.  Unfortunately, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is on the rise in Morgan County. With that in mind, our service this Sunday will follow the same protocols as last week.  Please look carefully at what follows…

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IN PERSON IF YOU OR ANYONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD:

  • Have a Disability
  • Have Serious Respiratory or Cardiovascular Conditions
  • Are Considered Immunocompromised
  • Have been in Close Contact with a Confirmed/Suspected case of COVID-19
  • Are Experiencing a Cough, Shortness of Breath, or Sore Throat
  • Have had a Fever in the Last 48 Hours
  • Have had a New Loss of Taste or Smell
  • Have Experienced Vomiting or Diarrhea in the Last 24 Hours

If you are 65 years old and older and are not experiencing any of the previous conditions, we encourage you to be cautious with your decision.  We advise you to consider staying at home and participating in our online services, but if you desire to come, we will look forward to seeing you in person as well.

BEFORE YOU COME TO THE BUILDING, YOU MUST DO THE FOLLOWING FOR YOURSELF AND EVERYONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD:

  • Check your temperature. If you are running a fever, please join us online instead
  • Sanitize your hands with soap and/or sanitizer
  • Prepare to arrive early (8:30-8:45 am) in order to leave time for everyone to be seated
  • Parents: please be aware that we are unable to provide any children’s classes or children’s training. Nursing mother’s or parents with crying children can use the “unattended nurseries” during these abbreviated in-person services
  • Directions for entry and procedure will be emailed out prior to our gathering
